Policies for Cancellations, Pets, Boats, Trailers, etc…

Deposit and Cancellation Policy:

A security deposit of your first night’s stay plus tax is required on all rooms at time of booking. In accordance with the cancellation policy of Great Pines, if it becomes necessary to cancel or change this reservation, you have until 14 days prior to the check in date, you may cancel your reservation, with only a $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 14 days before the check in date you will forfeit your deposit of one night’s stay. All security or refundable deposits must be made with a credit card and we will not accept checks. I hereby authorize Great Pines to charge my credit card for all amounts owed and charges occurred by myself or any of my guest including delayed charges, which are not satisfied prior to check out. Further I understand that if I check out early you may charge my credit card for the entire length I reserved.

Hours of Operation:

Front Desk hours are currently 8AM TO 8PM MONDAY-SUNDAY. Any arrival outside these hours may require special planning with the front desk so we always recommend calling. Otherwise the front desk will arrange after hour check in’s by leaving your key, map and sign in sheet on the front desk in anticipation of your arrival. You will receive a late check in email confirming after hour procedures. The front desk is located in the main Lodge straight from the driveway. Any no shows will be charged for the room accordingly.

Restaurants on Site:

The Lean To is open EVERY DAY at noon and LIVE MUSIC every WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT.

The Lodge is open WEDNESDAY – SATURDAY at 5pm. Reservations recommended.

Other Hotel rules and policies include the following:

Age: You must be 21 years or older to rent a room on our property

Room Capacity: Each room has a maximum capacity set, this is 2 people per bed in room. Any additional adults or children over 3YO are subject to an additional $40 fee per person. We DO NOT have COTS.

NYS Liquor law: Prohibits all alcohol brought on to the premises not sold by Great Pines, all alcohol brought on to the property must remain in guest rooms only and cannot be consumed elsewhere on property.

Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11am. If guest is not checked out by 3PM the card on file will be charged for a second night. Hotel is 100% Smoke free inside the rooms, a $200 a day cleaning fee will be charged if smoking is detected.

Any un-reparable damages done to rooms including stained towels, bedding, tears in bedding pillows or stains on floor etc. will be charged accordingly. For a list of these charges see front desk.

Pets must be noted ahead of time. At check in hotel will confirm pet is noted, then register with pet policy as hotel limits dogs on property and dog friendly rooms. All pets are additional charge of $50 per stay per pet. Housekeeping will also not enter any rooms where a dog is present, and guests with dogs must inform housekeeping when they would like them to enter when dog is not present. PETS NEVER are to be left alone in rooms and any damages incurred will be added to bill at check out. Any pets not registered ahead of date of arrival will be fined $200 or subject to asked to leaving.

Hotel guests are not allowed to bring boats to property without confirming first with front desk as we have limited dock space and cannot guarantee one. Once a dock space is guaranteed for your reservation it can only be guaranteed for the evenings due to the boat traffic our property experiences. This reservation requires $20 additional fee each night. Due to limited parking the hotel cannot allow trailers to be left on property.

Quiet Hours are 10pm-7am!! No outside gathering is permitted during these hours.

NOT ALL ROOMS HAVE FRIDGES: If you require a microwave or mini fridge in your room let the front desk know in advance as all rooms do not have them and it is first come first serve basis and cannot be guaranteed ever at check in. The front desk can inform you which rooms do have fridges.

Any damages incurred to hotel property or removal of property from resort will be charged to credit card on file as hotel seems fit. This can be in excess of $500. No in room party policy-to ensure we protect our guests at all time in the event of a disturbance one warning will be given to reduce noise. If this warning isn’t followed the guest will forfeit all fees and be asked to leave immediately.

Housekeeping will not enter a room with a do not disturb sign otherwise we will refresh your room daily As we are an environmentally conscious business we will only replace towels for stays 3 nights or more unless otherwise requested. . Housekeeping policy is to **unplug any items that produce heat that are left unattended in rooms as they violate fire safety rules this includes but is not limited to, hot pads, slow cookers, irons, heat pads, curlers etc.

The front desk is not able to guarantee any room at any time, particularly if you book through a third party site, although best efforts will be made to give guests requested room numbers, we reserve the right to move the room as long as they are the same room type and rate.

The property has stand up paddle boards and kayaks for rent to guests only for a fee of \)20. You must be 18 years or older to rent and a driver’s license is retained in exchange for the boat until return. We will provide life jackets that legally must be worn.

The pool on property is closed for repairs until further notice. We have a lovely sandy beach and swimming area!!

The property cannot accommodate trailer parking in the summer. Any unauthorized vehicles or trailers on property will be towed. Ask front desk/binder in room for overnight trailer parking locations.

If you do not return your key upon checkout, then a $25 fine will be added to your total stay.
