While the Adirondacks offer many exceptional views, nothing is more satisfying than pairing it with a delicious meal. At the Lean-To, Adirondack Life Magazine‘s Runner-Up for Best Outdoor Dining in the Adirondacks our cozy, massive outdoor deck, is perfect for sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the scene of beautiful Fourth Lake. Coupled with a casual lunch/dinner hybrid menu, it makes for the perfect meal and easy choice for some of the best outdoor dining in the Adirondacks.
Set on the Water

Living up to its name, the Lean-To is fashioned to replicate an actual Adirondack Lean-To. Inside, you’ll find a cozy, comfortable interior with rustic furnishing. You won’t miss the enormous walnut slab bar- it’s the largest one in the region. Most importantly, the Lean-To is set right on Fourth Lake. A large outdoor deck is the perfect spot to soak up some midday sun, or watch it sink into the mountains at sunset. Whether you want to sit and enjoy a meal, or use the deck to entertain, there’s room for both.
A More Casual Approach

The Lean-To at Great Pines offers guests a more casual menu and setting than the resort’s other restaurant: The Lodge. At the former, diners can choose from several locally sourced and regional items for lunch and dinner. The menu changes often to make sure local foods are fresh and in season. The Lean-To burger will barely leave you room for dessert, and if you’re looking to spice it up the Grilled Jerk Chicken or Chicken and Shrimp Jambalaya will do the trick.
If you’re looking for the perfect mix between great food and wonderful scenery, look no further. The Lean-To’s diverse lunch and dinner menu will have you wondering how you hadn’t found it sooner.
