Adventure is Calling!

My husband and I took a snowmobiling trip and stayed at the Great Pines. Before we arrived I had some questions so I called. The manager, Fiorella was warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. Upon arrival Fiorella showed us around. She went above and beyond to insure our stay was great! nOur jacuzzi suite was cozy and clean. All the amenities in the room were awesome! ( over sized towels, Keurig coffee maker, Starbucks k-cups, Alexus,) For a small jacuzzi the jets were powerful. It was perfect for2! We were able to park our snowmobiles directly in front of our room.nAfter settling in we went to the Lean-To restaurant and bar. Our server, Nicole was very attentive. As were all the servers! Jamie the bartender made the best Winter sangria.nJamie is a hard working and efficient bartender! It is obvious Fiorella has created a team that works well together. Overall the food and drinks were great.nThe continental breakfast that was left all day included a variety of cereals, oatmeal, breakfast bars, yogurts, fruits coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juice.nI would definitely recommend The Great Pines with its lake and mountain views!

This was a quick getaway for Valentines’ Day, and a chance to snowmobile and snowshoe. Service was wonderful, staff so kind and outgoing. We have visited several times before and always come away happy. Staff treats people like family. Restaurant wasn’t open but we made do and had fun exploring! This place is definitely worth going back to again and again.

Great Pines is the perfect place! We went for a weekend getaway and we were lucky enough to find availability here. I had a personal loss of a friend the night before we arrived there but still made the most of it and glad we did. The grounds and set up of the resort are fantastic! We stayed in the lodge and arriving late tired and hungry luckily the lean to restaurant was still open and easy to grab a bite. Our room was nice there was a small issue with the heating and they simply moved us and upgraded us to a lakefront room within 2 min. Couldn’t have been happier with that little arrangement. Got our good night sleep and we specifically went there for rest and relaxation and that is what we got. Woke up everyday and had a bite to eat with their light breakfast and toured the mountains during the day. Evening fires at 5pm in the lodge great room and meeting others and having our wine. Quiet mornings and could not beat the view. Was so fun watching the snowmobiles ride across the lake constantly! Fiorella is the general manager and what a Doll! Her and her staff were AMAZING!!! So kind and considerate and constantly asking what and if we needed anything. We even sat at the fire to watch the Super Bowl instead of the Lean to simply because of the comfortable couches, Nicole in the restaurant even brought our appetizers we ordered right over from the restaurant/bar to us! We were well taken care of and when the staff is that sweet and kind it makes ALL the difference. We will be back and it was heaven!

Great Place to stay on Forth Lake.nWe stayed during the week during the winter. We wished the lean too was open more during the week. It was closed Monday tues wed. Other than that it is a great place close to snowmobile trails.

The rooms were comfy and clean and Hulu kept the kids entertained in the evening. Breakfast included a delightful assortment of pastries, oatmeal, and cereal. The staff was very friendly and took great pride in their property. They were also very helpful with finding good hiking spots. The views of the mountains and the lake from this property were amazing. I highly recommend Great Pines!

Awesome time .Best place to stay in old forge. I will be back again. Great view and the rooms are clean and very nice. There was a bar on sight which made it nice did not have to go into town. It was a great new years and the pines made it even greater . If in your old forge stay there.

2 night stay in off season. Overall this is a very nice place. I do think someone should be there at standard check in time. Not just a text or email directing you to go to your room. nThey also had a resort map in the lobby that would have been helpful to be online. It might have helped my room selection to know exactly on property where the room types were. nSaturday we didn’t see a breakfast attendant.It was much nicer to have a person at breakfast Sunday and it was pleasant to talk to someone local who could talk about trails, shops etc. nwe had a lake view double. When we go again we’d probably take a room that had a covered porch and chairs. Even if it wasn’t lakeview because the property is quite compact and you can easily walk to the main lodge to sit on the first floor covered porch to look at the lake. nnLook forward to coming back during dec-March or the summer when the restaurant is open.

This is a great family friendly place. It was really nice to get away and relax. We really enjoyed the scenery and we really enjoyed the lodging. We would recommend this place to anyone who is coming this way.
